Celebration of Light (4) - バンクーバー花火大会④

Today was the final day of the Celebration of Light.

In order to avoid the traffic of cars and people, we decided to go to the other side of the water in Jericho Beach. Funny that everyone seemed to be thinking the same...

Still, we had a plenty of space to ourselves on the beach without our view being blocked by other people. The only "disturbance" was the sound of the water, which prevented us from listening to music and hearing the bang!

I was somewhat surprised by the size of the fireworks they had for the finale of the event. They seemed more focused on presentation or "prettiness", and were smaller than I expected. I don't think this was to do with where we were watching the fireworks.

Having said that, the fireworks were good, and some of the photos that I took came out very nicely.

Once the fireworks were over, we decided to head to a bar for quick drink to avoid the traffic. This idea vanished as soon as we hit the road as we immediately faced the reality of being stuck in traffic. It took us over an hour to get back to Granville Street. Shocking!

今日は Celebration of Light の最終日。
