Feeling very Japped up... - めちゃめちゃ日本人な気分...

I felt, today, more Japanese than ever while in Vancouver.

The Saturday started off with four of us going back to Tenhachi, the place we went for dinner last night, for Japanese breakfast. Our expectation was quite high based on the quality dinner we had last night.

We were not disappointed but very much impressed.

I had grilled salmon breakfast that comes with rice, miso soup, pickled vegetables, and all that. The taste, quality, presentation, everything was so authentic. It really felt like being back home, or as though staying in a quality inn somewhere in Japan.

After chilling out for a bit at home, I went to the Powell Festival, a Japanese summer festival happening in Vancouver this weekend, with a few friends.

This is probably the first time that I have been to a Japanese summer festival anywhere in over 10 years. The festival itself was smaller than I had expected, but had traditional Japanese drums, dance, music, and most importantly food!

With only 10 days to go before leaving town, it's bizarre that I am enjoying more and more Japanese stuff here in Vancouver.
